Crowns
A dental crown is a tooth-shaped cap used to strengthen a tooth or improve its shape. Your dentist will most often use a crown for teeth that are broken, weak or partially destroyed by tooth decay.

The crown fits over you entire tooth, like a snug-hat, or cap, to protect your tooth. To ensure a proper fit, your dentist will remove a small amount of enamel before bonding your new crown in place.

Bridges
A Bridge is used to replace missing teeth and help maintain the shape of your face. It may also help alleviate stress on your bite!

A Bridge consists of crowns that fit over your natural teeth on either side of the space and artificial teeth that "bridge the gap" in your smile!
About
Temporary Crown

-
Eat soft foods and avoid sticky foods (chewing gum or caramel) as these can grab and pull the crown out
-
Do not floss the area around your temporary crown
-
If your gums around the temporary crown become sensitive, rinse 4 times a day with warm salt water (1/2 tsp salt to 1/2 cup of water)
-
Avoid foods that are extremely cold or hot
-
Avoid tough foods like hard bread or steak
Permanent Crown

-
Do not eat hard or sticky foods for 24 hours after procedure
-
Never use your teeth as tools - Doing this can cause damage to your natural teeth and dental crowns
-
Brushing and flossing regularly - Dental crowns can and should be treated just like your natural teeth. Brush and floss your teeth twice a day to make your dental crown last longer
-
Avoid dark-colored foods and drinks - the dark-colored foods may change the shade of your natural teeth causing them to look darker or yellower than your dental crown
